Joanna Bryant
I have been an artist and creator all my life, as far back as I can remember. Whilst my friends were out playing in the garden, I was inside making things out of cereal packets and sticky-backed plastic.
Now as an adult, little has changed except I use acrylic paint, inks, glazes and canvas. I am obsessed with surface, layering and edge, constantly making new pieces which I exhibit, sell or hide away in secret.
I have two studios. One is a co-operative studio which I share with six other artists and I go there when I need to be creative away from the demands of my house. The other is a framing studio where I frame and mount my work and help others to frame pieces that they love too.
I am also involved in curating exhibitions at the Upstairs Gallery in Berkhamsted.
